So I translated another thing because I thought it was cute. Scans from yoshiko_mama@ LJ :)
We will enjoy spring with all our might!
Invited by calm weather, these four had a picnic! Even though it’s the season for flower viewing, these “dumplings before flowers”* guys have a full appetite. They ate the picnic food very quickly and with lots of energy.
On a day with warm weather, these four guys who were tired of waiting for the arrival of spring went out and had a picnic!
Kishi: The food we ate outside was awesome!
Jinguji: We ate for a long time didn't we (lol).
Iwahashi: It’s ‘cause we're in the middle of a stage play at the moment yeah? We eat a lot to get energy.
Reia: Because we're going to see “SHOCK”. Do your best!
Kishi: Even though you say that, I wonder if you're going to come at all.
Reia: I'll go I'll go! ‘Cause you'd watch a performance I was in.
Kishi: Oh thanks. I think that Jinguji and Iwahashi definitely won’t come (lol).
Jinguji: Actually, when Kishi used his strength and tried his hardest in his stage play, yesterday… I went to Kusatsu Hot Spring.** I’m sorry!
Kishi: What?! That’s mean!
Jinguji: I went to go see the hot water field. The smell of the steam and sulphur was amazing, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the hot spring town. <3
Iwahashi: Ehh, doesn't sulphur smell bad?
Jinguji: You're so childish~.
Kishi: … Well~ it’s so awesome. I just had this great idea that we all go to a bath together. Kusatsu seems so fun~.
Jinguji: After Kishi’s stage play finishes, it might be good to go to a hot spring to say job well done.
Kishi: I agree I agree! Take me to Kusatsu!
To thank Kishi for his hard work, while they make plans for a small trip these four start thinking about even more plans for spring outings.
Jinguji: This time, should be go to Mount Fuji?
Kishi: That’s too hard!
Reia: Last year the four of us went mountain climbing during sunrise and it was so painful. No way I’m going~.
Jinguji: Yeah, I don't know why I suggested it either (lol).
Iwahashi: Well then, let’s have everyone suggest an idea one by one.
Kishi: I want to taste everyone’s cooking! I want to go see the cherry blossoms with everyone’s handmade bento~.
Reia: That might be interesting <3.
Jinguji: To be honest, rather than eating each other’s bento’s, I want to eat Genki’s mum’s bento.
Iwahashi: Ehh, why!?
Jinguji: ‘Cause they're yummy <3
Kishi: But food that Iwahashi made would probably be gross…
Jinguji: A long time ago, I ate potato chips and fried rice that Genki made. It was so gross~!
Kishi: The ingredients were just lettuce and potato chips.
Iwahashi: Well, I didn't think it was that good myself either (lol).
Kishi: What’s your plan Reia?
Reia: Um, what about fishing?
Kishi: That sounds good!!
Jinguji: Yeah I really wanna go fishing! I've caught a tuna before, so let’s judge from that!
Kishi: Let’s forget about eating shall we?
Jinguji: My heart is now with fishing! If Genki doesn’t say a plan better than this he won’t win.
Genki: Ehh. What should I say… Scuba diving?
Jinguji: …Alright! Let’s go fishing!
Genki: Hey wait wait!! I get seasick. I can't do it~.
Kishi: You can take medicine to stop getting sick!
Reia: Now that you mention it, on “Jr. Land” Jinguji and Kishi went to the beach to go fishing didn’t you.
Jinguji: That’s right! As soon as the old fisherman said “I don't think you're going to catch an alfonsino today”, I caught one! Even fish are attracted to me <3
Kishi: Even though I had so so much fishing tackle, I still lost!
Jinguji: Maybe it was because Kishi’s phone strap was a rainbow trout.
Kishi: It’s because of you playing with it in your mouth that it broke!
Jinguji: Ah, I'm sorry <3
Reia: Genki didn't go at all (lol).
Iwahashi: Because I would have gotten seasick…
Jinguji: Well then, do you want to go free diving?
Reia: I took swimming lessons when I was little, so I think I would be able to do it well <3
Kishi: Doing it when you're little is easy though. I do special training in my bath every day!!
Iwahashi: I've done swimming before too, but I don't really like diving…
Reia: You can't do anything (lol).
Jinguji: You can be the caretaker!
*This is a saying in Japanese that refers to people that eat a lot/only care about food. It originally referred to people that go to festivals who were more concerned about the food there rather than the scenery/atmosphere.
**Kusatsu Hot Spring is a famous hot spring resort in Japan
Thanks for reading \o/
I'm still learning Japanese, so I can't guarantee that this is 100% correct. If you see any mistakes, please tell me! :)
