Went to Captain America Winter Soldier - finally - last night. How are you gonna go to a Marvel movie and not wait for the mid-credits and post-credits scenes? I mean seriously, there were only four people left from a half full theatre by the end

Don't give up on your fic! It would be such a shame to leave it unfinished if you're proud of it so far. Maybe you could put it aside for a while and then get back to it once you've had a chance to get some distance from it?

Good point - this happens a lot with me and I wish it wouldn't! I start fic with a hiss and a roar and then lose interest...I've tried focusing on an ending before I write, and I do know the ending for this one but I can't quite get it over the line! Grrr! i guess that's why writing is rewarding tho, when you do get one finished it feels great.

I feel for you; it must be frustrating as a writer to have something about your creation elude you!

I'm doing well, thanks. I started a new position as a copy editor at a university 3 months ago, and I'm really enjoying it. It's a temporary, maternity leave replacement, so I've only got another 3 months to go on my contract, but I'm hoping it'll lead to something more permanent in a similar field.

How about you? Your little one must keep you on your toes :)

ohh yes he does, but y'know he's just gotten to this cool stage where you can reason with him and even tho he's an active little thing, he's actually a pretty chill kid which I'm really grateful for! I love hanging out with him :)

Great stuff about your new job, I love it when you find something you enjoy! I've had two friends that have done maternity leave replacement and the woman hasn't come back or has gone to a different role so they got to stay - hope that happens for you!
