Interesting snippet!

I am totally with you on this. I didn't really forgive Rowling until she admitted her mistakes in putting Hermione with Ron instead of Harry in the Wonderland interview with Emma Watson, and even then, it's not like I'm back in the full fandom. I stick to my H/Hr corners. Definitely no interest in any book or stage play that deals with anything post-epilogue and I'm not all that fussed about pre-canon era, either.

I'll just keep shipping H/Hr and reading/writing fic and enjoying it when I see/hear support for H/Hr in the real world from the casual fans who maybe saw some of the movies once and assumed Harry and Hermione were endgame.

Oh good - I'm glad I'm not the only one, I was thinking maybe I was being petty and that ANY new HP is good HP but.. especially now that JKR has admitted the series should've finished HHR then.. it seems like that story is best left untouched.

I think your plan of reading HHR fic staying in our lane sounds like a good one...I'm gonna do the same.. :)

Yeah, it generally works unless I see some chatter here or there. Rowling's not doing herself any favors lately what with her slapdash attempts to fit her magical world into real history and spirituality and trying to convince everyone that Hermione could have been black in canon after the casting of a black for the stage play. Then I get irked.

yeah that was.. it surprised me that it irked me a little too. Like I definitely think we need more diversity across all stories but I was already confused by the story and then changing Hermione's ethnicity took it to another level - mainly because it actually diminishes the experience of growing up black in England in the 90's, unless they write that story in too which seems to be even more confusion. She had to grow up with Mudblood discrimination, I don't get how they can just overlook the impact from her muggle life of being a minority there too? Seemed more like a stunt than anything to me which did seem slapdash ia.

I am excited just because I WANT MORE. JK has even said she regrets having RHr so maybe they'll be divorced and it'll be HHr forever!

I definitely think Teddy would be awesome. I also think you should continue this. I yearn for the days of good HP fic. I'm hoping there will be a resurgence.

Okay yeah I would be down if she wrote in the divorce from the Weasleys hee hee I would be there for that! Even some UST between H & H would be satisfying :)

Yes I'm so keen for Teddy fic, and agree - if it causes a resurgence of good HP Fic well then I'm there for that too :)

No joke, I was totally re-reading Babylon on FF.net today and I thought I'd slip over to livejournal to see what's going in LJ world, and whuuuuuuuuut?!? I love this snippet. And I love Babylon and Babylon's sister. Is there anymore?

And I'm pretty meh about Cursed Child too. Good luck to everyone involved with it and all, I'm just not that interested. It's possible my devotion to H/Hr is dampening my enthusiasm, though.

Haha same - everything is HHR tinted for me too so my enthusiasm is guarded too :)

Oh thanks - yes I have quite a few scenes of both Babylon stories...I think about piecing them together some times...I love that you were re reading it! Thank you - I might have to have another look at it!

Thanks for the comment x
