Today I found out that 2 of my friends have HIV... Two separate friends, two separate incidents..
Its strange hearing so much about a disease, and never having it affect you.. Now its a part of my life.. I'm gonna watch two people die, and I can't do anything about it... Shit.. I'll be there if you ever need me..

I've been reading that an AIDS vaccine is in the 3rd testing phase (with real people) in the US right now: some day it will be a dead virus, like polio. We can hope... as for your friends, I've heard that mortality rates among AIDS victims are down. There is still hope and they may very well have many many years with you left. Don't give up yet!
