and i'm currently getting paid $4.50/hour to read your livejournal. you've got it much better, i think. and that's why i'm not soft. because i work below the poverty level.

$4.50?! What, are you fighting for the living wage or something? I feel like you at least are making a difference. And I am... eagerly awaiting the hour of midnight to descend on Borders and get my Half-Blood Prince copy.

it's because technically i'm not working. i'm volunteering. but it's fun to freak people out that i'm not even making minimum wage. living wage is one thing i'm working on, but mostly civil rights stuff dealing with day labor workers lately, among other things.

dude, i so cannot wait for harry potter. i'm pretty sure i'm going to end up doing nothing except reading tomorrow (except for the hour that i'm leading a rally).
