So, considering that I only ever update after concerts usually... this weekend was a crazy concert experience.

Saturday night. Meghan, Pat, and I drove to Chicago to see Koufax + Limbeck + the Honorary Title at the Beat Kitchen, where I was supposed to be on the guest list for Doghouse. Turns out, Dave at Doghouse dropped the ball and did NOT put me on the guest list. I even got his phone number (thanks, Daddy!) and tried to call him but... no dice. The show was sold out and there seemed like no hope of getting in. Then, out of the door walks Jarrod (basically the heart and soul of the Title) looking like the ultimate sass queen (as usual). To make a long story short, after standing outside the venue in the snow for about an hour, Pat makes me approach Jarrod and ask him to guest-list us. Again, no dice, (even after I told him how much I loved him, especially after his sass-filled interruption of "Revealing Too Much" at Bernie's last June!) because apparently the place was full "beyond maximum capacity." :( Jarrod was reallly nice though (and hugged me!) and said that he could definitely get us on the guest list for the next night (Sunday) in somewhere called Crown Point, Indiana. Dejected but still madly in love with THT, we turned around and drove home. (Well actually... I made Meghan drive and Pat and I overly enjoyed some Maker's and Coke. I didn't want the night to be a total bust!) Anyway...

Sunday night. Doghouse tour, take two. This time Pat crapped out on us, but Meghan and I still headed west to BFE (somewhere between South Bend and Chicago) to Crown Point to try to find us some jams. After getting lost several times, we finally find the supposed venue in, literally, the middle of nowhere. Just a random auditorium that is, unfortunately, locked and empty. Before I nearly start crying, I notice a poster stuck on one of the doors that says "SHOW MOVED. DIRECTIONS HERE." So we get back in the car and by the time we finally found the new place (a smallll coffee shop in Highland, IN) we were clearly very late for the show. In some good news, though, I WAS on the guest list this time, and we were just in time for Limbeck! Besides the fact that I'm in love with Patrick and Jon Cheese, they freaking rocked our socks off (they even played "Silver Things" on my request!!). THEN!!!...

The Title came out to play! The first thing that Jarrod does is make wicked eye contact with me (about four rows back in a crowd of maybe 50 people crowded around the mics), WAVE, and say, "hey, I'm really glad you could make it tonight." Everyone turned around to see who was so cool, and it was ME! :) Then about halfway through the set, he says, "I had a special request for this song, so here you go - this song is for you, darling." and then winks at me! The night before, when I told him the Bernie's story, I had mentioned it was my faaaavorite song and I really wanted to hear it. AHHHH! Finally, after the most beautiful set ever, we go up to talk to him and thank him for the show/guest list and I got yet another set list :) (my first one being from that time at Bernie's)! AND a free Title shirt to boot.

So, the moral of the story is... never give up? Or maybe just, I'm in love with Jarrod. But either way, it was a phenomenal weekend, and I definitely can't wait for spring break to see my other great love, Max Bemis! Until then...
