[It's late at night and he's camped out in one of the new feather stations. Like most nights this past week he's unable to sleep. He misses Rem and Meryl had been gone for so long. What could they be doing to her? It made him feel so helpless, he couldn't save and protect anyone he cared about. Meryl... she must be so scared. And Rem, he had left ( Read more... )

feeling lonely, remembering rem, flower shop, hates to be alone, fountain, snow, missing his mommy, trying to act happy, flowers!, hates being useless, bakery, grocery store, i'm home!

We'll get something else before snow, probably. Halloween's always been a mess, right?

Ugh, don't remind me. Last year was horrible. Not to mention that costume they forced me in.

So what do you think this year'll be like.

How about... they leave us alone! Yeah! I like that plan! Sounds like a great plan to me!

... The leaves are changing colors?

Ah, yeah, when the air starts to get colder the leaves will turn from green to reds, oranges, and yellows.

Wow, really? I don't think I remember ever seeing that.

Yeah, I've actually never seen it myself either before coming to Luceti. [How he wishes he could show you.]

[It's been a while since he's seen Vash, but he didn't expect to see him this early in the morning and stuffing his face too.]

Donuts for breakfast?

Yeah? What's so strange about that? [He gives a rather large and dramatic sigh.] And usually people are confused when I eat them for lunch!

Or dinner.

Or a snack or two!

Vash old pal, I think ya might have a donut addiction. Not the healthiest of things, but oh well. How are things anyway?

And addiction and enjoying the finer things in life seems like two very different things to me!

And I've been pretty good! The trees are very pretty this time of year so I've been out looking at them a lot lately! Oh! And it's getting colder! I hope it snows soon! I have some friends here who haven't seen snow before!

[JUST AS YOU'RE ABOUT TO EAT THAT SANDWICH there is a whap of Wolfwood's hand hitting the back of your head as he walks by. Like a damn priest-ninja. The fact of the matter is, he figured you'd be coming around pretty soon. He's got your weird calendar almost figured out.]

Welcome back, spikey.

[Oh hey, sandwich stuff. Gonna just make me one. `_`]

You left your kitten to scratch up my door, y'know. I had to take care of it and that little demon cat.

Ow! You didn't have to hit me for that! I'm sure Donut wasn't that much of a handful! He's still just a kitten! Or are you really getting so rusty you can't even handle a little cat without me?

Didn't hit you for that.

But that's beside the point. You shouldn't go making the girls worry about you like that. Or did you forget that around here, when people up and vanish it might be because they're kidnapped?

[Point point]

The slap was for not leaving a decent note.

...oh. I'm sorry about that. [What can he say? He really wasn't thinking past he needed to put some distance between him and that empty room.]

[She is glad you are alright even though she doesn't know the reason for concern. She can probably guess, however.]

Does it snow often here?

Well, it seems like a lot to me, but I guess for you it might not be so much. Around November to early March it stays.

It seems like it would be beautiful, ne? I imagine the children have a lot of fun.
[Though she had never been fond of it as a child. It occurs to her then that it is something Chopper might like.]

But right now everything is dying so beautifully. It's sort of ironic, isn't it?

They're not exactly dying! They're just uh... sleeping til spring! Yeah! They come back good as new in the spring!
