The Malnosso are getting uncreative. And they're showing their fallibility. Not only were these 'experiments' recycled, they're occasionally useless ( Read more... )

I don't believe these experiments were about creativity, not at all. I'm almost certain it was about creating and observing chaos.

Ah but doesn't chaos require some creativity to create?

Can you really be so sure? How do you know that their experiment didn't have exactly the intended effect?

No, it wasn't very "creative" but it wasn't the same, either.

We can't. But we can make educated guesses.

Perhaps the Malnosso were observing possible signs of immunity within the population. As we do not know what their end goal is, we cannot easily distinguish a failure on their part from something deliberately planned to show ineffectiveness.

And not all of the natives have been taken; it may seem that way since the storekeepers are the most visible, but there are others who do not speak to the 'newly created' Filial.

You and Ms. Stryfe have made significant progress within the ruins?

So you're saying that they may have been giving a deliberate show of buffoonery?

That's only the top level. We plan to return to record the other levels too.

We cannot dismiss the notion; the fact alone that they are starting experiments again shows that they've rallied from a series of mistakes -- allowing us to get around to the other side of the barrier, for one.

Are you or Ms. Stryfe familiar with taking apart or reassembling electrical equipment?

I can operate a distrans and water reclamation equipment but my world lacks thinking machines...I believe you call them "computers".
