#1 - YES! He makes me want to read the Bible too! This is crazy!

#3 - I noticed that, too, and I definitely think it's meant to parallel what could've happened to Dean and Sam. Aside from the focus on the amulet, the whole notion that she had a little sibling who worshipped her and couldn't live without her sort of strengthens that theory.

#4 - I second this, his death made me so sad! Especially when he was all like "I know what's out there now, I'm going to fight it." Unfair!

#6 - WORD!

And oooh, about your ETA. That is so interesting! I really like your theory too, it could be plausible. I don't know what to think though, really. It's too early to tell!

I KNOW! AND KRIPKE DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY EASIER FOR US.
I'm becoming obsessed with what Castiel's history is.

I would bet they will write it that Castiel and Azazel are brothers. It would be the perfect mirror for Dean and Sam considering we never really knew what YED intentions were but obviously they were opposite of Liliths

That's what I'm thinking. Kripke is a wise ass like that.

Asasiel and Azazel are definitely separate people/creatures. I made the same mistake when I was speculating about season 4 a few months ago, and I was corrected by a few people who all were very versed in biblical and occult mythology. ;)

What happens now has nothing to do with Azazel especially Castiel himself. Anything Azazel stays in season 2. (but that's just an opposing view I know you still love me *lol*)

lol i do, bb. but see, all these Mary Winchester talk, about her history, it's also opening up the possibility that the YED might also be brought up. Mary used to say to Dean that angels are watching out for him, and by default, Sam. So what if Castiel is Dean's 'angel' of sorts, and the YED (azazel, whatevs) was Sam's?

I agree with you that Castiel is trying to prevent both guys from harmful supernatural negativity. He's just simply doing what an angel does guarding coming in out of the Winchester's lives now giving advice and probably helping them prepare something like Ruby, but in Angel form.

oh. yeah, my head officially hurts now.
it's almost always parallel when it comes to Sam and Dean.
Sam has Ruby (a demon), Dean has Castiel (an angel)
what the hell is Kripke up to????

Haha, maybe so Azazel is Sam's I don't know spiritual adivisor! hahaha....He definitely showed Sam around in the two parter in season 2.

hahahahaha!!!! dude, imagine having the YED as your spiritual advisor.

Ya know that dude ROY from the episode "Faith" remember when he mentioned that he chose Dean from the crowd because he saw that there was work for him to do...I think it's interesting that he said that because the angel Castiel told Dean the same thing in episode one.

oh. oh! why haven't I remembered that?????
all these episodes, man, they're all interwoven.
and I can't believe I'm skipping work for this!
ahahahahaha.
