Why thank you. He's supposed to look... nerdy, for want of a better word, but not in that trendy, self-consciously nerdy way (despite those glasses). Earnest, future absent-minded professor material prehaps? Anyway, thanks again for the comment.
Just finished the Chrysalids too. Also grabbed Ice-Nine by Kurt Vonnegut (?) which was depressingly funny. The store didn't have SlaughterhouseFive, which i am on the lookout for.
Vonnegut has been recommended to me many a time, although I've never actually checked him out. John Wyndham I like a lot though, because his books are kind of period books in scientific terms (which interests me), and in their general setting, but are still relevant. Also there's more focus on characters, which I generally find lacking in science-fiction.
But he only has one facial expression! (that's why there's only one picture xD) Thank you. And yeah, I'd reccomend it. Along with any other books of his.
I actually think he's a pretty good-looking sim too. But on-topic: I've been meaning to read The Day of the Triffids for months now and I keep forgetting. Thank you for the reminder. XD
Thank you! I actually think he's too generically good-looking for what I was going for, but nevermind. I'd been meaning to read it for some time too, but this term my college bought it for their library in a happy coincidence (and I thank them for it by being two weeks overdue and counting, oh well).
Weeeeeell, I think he's nice looking. I have a thing for sideburns and squishy looking noses anyway.
I've been wanting to read some John Wyndham for a long time but I keep missing stuff being available at the library. Might have to reserve something, I'm just in the mood for post-apocalyptic bleakness.

On another note, I must read that book. Blindness and predatory plants :)
