Things in my life right now
Here is the latest in our boring lives:
- Our puppy, Sadie, is 13 weeks today.
- Sadie is 75-95% house trained on any given day. Some days are better than others.
- My sister and brother in law are having a hell of a time right now. I'm worried for them. I hope they come out of things okay.
- We cleaned our house today, even the upstairs! I love a clean house.
- I scanned a friend of ours today. She's having a girl.
- We're mastering the art of budgeting. I think we're FINALLY getting on top of our credit card debt. It only took us 5 months to figure it out.
- We had steak for dinner! It gave me gas :(
- Mushi is being very demanding for attention at the moment.
- Our jobs are pretty secure for the next year - beyond a year is a bit hazy.
- We're trying to save up a "crap we got laid off" fund. It's tough doing that AND paying off credit cards.
- One of my credit cards jumped from 11% to 25% because they're assholes. I paid it off in full on Friday. Jerks. They said it's "because if the economy." whatever.
- Despite all that our heads are above water.
- Were contemplating a refinance once our taxes come back. It would save us a ton of moolah (theoretically).
- A new job offer has come up. It would be in addition to what I'm already doing. I'm not going to spill details till I for sure take on the new responsibilities. I'm still somewhat undecided.
- I need a maid. Anyone want to work for free?
