I just got my mitts on the new Portishead CD, and guess who contributed saxophone to the last two tracks? None other than Goldfrapp's own Will Gregory

Hoorah! And here a year ago I would not have believed that they would ever actually put out another album again, despite the fact that they've claimed to be working on their third album since, oh, at least 2001...
if it isn't pj harvey! lovely icon. lord knows (and I'm not even religious) how much I adore her music! seeing her in june woho!
Oh, yeah. I bought the new Portishead album today aswell. I heard the leak already and its pretty damn amazing, will definetaly be one of the best this year.
thanks! i <3 her so. where are you seeing her? ugh, she has not even played near my neck of the woods (southeast US) since i discovered her back in 2000 or so... but i'm hoping now that i'm moving to more well known places that i'll get to see her eventually.
also, m.i.a. icon? <3!
yep, i also bought the album based on liking what i had downloaded.
Indeed! I was a little unsure about the first bits I had heard, so I went ahead and downloaded the album and wound up really liking it, hence my going out today to get it.
And eh, I downloaded Seventh Tree and haven't bought it yet either. I'll probly get a copy eventually, but I'm really not that impressed with it. I mean Clowns is amazing, and Happiness is growing on me, but the rest, whatever. I'm kinda tired of shelling out money for cds I won't listen to by artists whose other stuff I liked, so we'll see...
I do that all the time. It's an OCD thing. If Seventh Tree wasn't by Goldfrapp I probably wouldnt get it. Its not bad but I can't get into the second half of the album, its too pleasant and generic. All their three previous albums, I have loved equally but this one is for me what Volta is for Björk.
Ow! I thought Volta was a good album... not her best, but more enjoyable than Medulla.
Yeah, A&E really put me off at first with its really, really top-40 chorus, and that terrible vocal effect she uses in the very beginning of the song. The rest is OK, but I haven't listened to it much...
ah well yes that is my favorite interview trio however I wouldn't consider it much more than that since they didn't do guest work on each others records. Bjork and Pj became buddys and sang a song live together. Tori covered a minute of Hyperballad durring Butterfly at a couple misc concerts and covered on PJ song.
