He cracks me up-- he goes under the shelf to hide, but is trying to lure me in there to tickle him. As soon as he sees my fingers creeping towards him, he squeels and flips over on his back- and gets all fluffy. It's the funniest sight. I barely caught him here- I was laughing so the camera was shaking.

Well...it takes time. He didn't used to do that....or he would flip over again fast. But, I always make it a point to be extra gentle with him with my fingers, -even though I spray him with a long stream of water from the water bottle when he's getting into something- hehehe- and also I flip him over into my hand and kiss his tummy and I have done a "Kiss Baby" game for years, he thinks his name is Baby....where I tell him kiss baby! and then give him a sweet kiss. He now makes the kiss noise back at me. I hold him on my finger, and slowly cup my other hand over his back, bring him forward and kiss his nose or tummy or under wing- then flip him into my cupped hand slowly and let him immediately get up as soon as he wants to. He slowly started to not freak, and stayed longer and longer. Now, he's pretty comfy and fearless. Thats when he started doing it on his own!

just finished cleaning out the beakster's cage (and perches and toys and various and sundry other accoutrements). good thing the water from the hose is still warm.

crazy bird went to the vet for a lookover and beak, nail, and wing trims two weeks ago and still hasn't figured out that he can't fly now. he's been doing kamikaze leaps from the top of the cage.

that's the cutest boid I've seen all day. I like photo #2, his head is a blur from hammering the mouse. You get the award for the best live journal posting of the day. Five stars. *****

hahaha thanks!!
I thought I needed to share some of the joy- I've been such a mess lately, so I remembered what makes me happy and to write about that!

He really has a serious thing going with the mouse. He always shoves it to the floor, every day. He hates that I stroke it and it clicks....lol
