Enigmata

I had just realized today what a tragic long time it's been since I've posted an image. I feel like it's been so long since I've even picked up a camera. For good news, I've set up my studio lights and am starting to experiment with them.

- Ω -The image I would like to share with you this evening is something I assembled just for fun. It is an ( Read more... )

i think of symmetry a lot. sxe_yeti_sxe September 12 2005, 09:36:35 UTC
i think if the text were to be moved further down it would be more visually appealing.
there isn't much going on and i think if it were farther down it would be less 'in the way' if that makes sense.

if it were rotated clockwise a little and faded out more it would play off of those subtle lines.

Great suggestions. goldomega September 12 2005, 17:20:54 UTC
I was also thinking of having the text fall on a curve, so it won't look so linear. I was also thinking of including something more in the upper right half, above the text. I'm still not sure how I feel about the face cutting a vertical line visually in the image...

I'll try rotating the text tonight. Maybe a few other things. I think this one could come out well with some more work.

i like the curve idea.

as for something in the upper right half, i've been playing with using text as background 'filler'.
i think it works well in some instances.

i look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Now that you mention it, I've seen images like that as well. I think I might try using text with perspective or maybe at perpendicular angles. Something with some grit. Great suggestions, this is exactly what I need.

I've been wondering where you were. No help on the image, just wanted to say hi.

Hello! I'm sorry you haven't heard from me in so long: my computer at home isn't working so well. My ISP isn't keeping up its end of the bargain either. I'll soon be getting a new ISP and maybe some new parts for my machine. When I do, I have several wedding shots to post.

From a client's wedding. I'm starting to do a little wedding work with a professional photographer I tutor in Photoshop. It's a nice trade; I learn photography techniques, he learns the software.
