I'm trying to learn to be more assertive with my doctors... It's hard 'cause I'm not one to take pills in general, and I know that most docs are hesitant to hand out painkillers for fear of addiction.
It also doesn't help that I can only ever speak with the rheumatologist's medical assistant when I call, and English is *very* much her second language.
All right, that's how much flexeril I've been doing, and I feel pretty good on that amount.
And I'll stop being a weenie and make the appointment with my GP.
By the way, I started doing water walking (literally just walking laps in the pool) 15mins/3days a week and I feel pretty good. Plus, I go mid morning when the pool is filled with folks doing the exact same thing. If you can make time to do this, I totally recommend it.
