Tonight I went to see my niece swim in her districts meet. It was pretty amazing to be the person on the other side of the swim meet. My whole life I have always been the person swimming in the swim meet, never the one to do the watching. It's pretty boring being the person in the stands. My niece did really well though. You were right to go. I told people at dinner that I was glad you could be there and that if we'd known she'd be swimming Friday night, we'd have scheduled the dinner differently. (Of course, we'd probably have had the dinner Saturday night instead and missed the finals!) I'm so happy that she advanced and we will be able to go tonight, God willing, to see her swim!

I'm glad they finally had the meet and it wasn't snowed out again. YEAH for her; sounds like she did really well! I agree that people sometimes just need someone there to watch them and be there and cheer for them. So I'm glad you made it, and I'm sure your mom understands. It was still for family and all.
