Love this. My own personal canon has these two as origin stories for Arthur and Eames so thank you for nailing that. You did an awesome job integrating all three movies, this was just great.

*blush* Thank you. I love Eames as Bob, even though i think that there needs to be room in his background for the military somewhere, but i can't see Arthur as anything but a grown up Brendan. I'm glad this worked for you! <3

I miiiiiight have started writing the less quiet, more BAMFy follow up.... Knowing me, it'll be a while, as i've got a couple other badly neglected WiPs and i tend to work on three or four fics at a time, but hopefully? I've already got it half-figured out.

Guh, it just makes so much sense! You blended all these histories together perfectly, it's amazing.
Arthur still being protective about Emily's memory is so hurty. God, and he still thinks about the kid.
You know I love how it's Mumbles that gets Eames at the end. Their relationship is special and I think they acknowledge that. Hee and Mumbles and Arthur passing each other little What Up nods across the street because you know they're both just looking out for Eames. I love it.
Fab work, hon, this turned out so lovely.

Thank you bb! Yeah, i don't think anything having to do with Brick could be anything *but* hurty, even a decade later. And yeah, i think Arthur has nicely compartmentalized Brendan and Emily and all that pain... but that it still sneaks out from time to time, when he sees a kid of the right age or a girl with hair like hers or whatever.
Yeah, i watched the scene where Mumbles tells One Two what a good person Bob is about a half-dozen times to get Mumbles's accent down, and it definitely felt like there was a solid relationship there, one much less complicated than whatever was between Bob and One Two.
Thank you for everything, especially putting up with my massive flail!
