Runaways Drummer Sandy West Dies at 47I first heard "Cherry Bomb" as a cover by Bratmobile, and i've been a big Joan Jett fan ever since i first saw the video for "I Love Rock n'Roll." Lita Ford had a decent career after leaving them as well. Not as sucessful as Joan Jett, but I did see her play a club in Silicon Valley back in the 80's. That's too bad about Sandy West. She was awfully young.

I like The Donnas. Especially their cover of REO Speedwagon's Keep On Loving You.

True dat--i see/hear about Lita Ford every now and again.

I like what i've heard of The Donnas. Surly's a pretty big fan--he's a fan of the post-riotgrrl bands (The Donnas, The Muffs), even before i ever came along. Which is very cool. There's nothing more irritating than a boy who won't listen to girl bands just coz they're girls. (Or vice versa, honestly.)

Yup, I loved Joan Jett.

And hey, perhaps "I Love Rock'n'Roll" should be on Thraxx's soundtrack - which I will help you make BTW.

I have such a huge crush on Joan Jett. And then she cut off all her hair... *swoon*

Heh. Thraxx has a strict "no girls" policy about his soundtracks, which has so far only been broken by drugs and Lara. (;
