My last entry was a rant. It wasn't really an angry one. It was a just a release of some stuff I actually find amusing for as irritating as it can be in the moment ( Read more... )

ah...
I never thought you hated your job
I also knew you were fine

I think you're being a little too defensive about revealing that you aren't all perfecty and stuff

laughing or not (and I did get the laughing btw) the phrasing revealed genuine anger
some people are really good at hiding that, even from their self

course it's also just as plausible that you're right, and we strictly onliners just read you wrong, but I think the fact that you're so concerned about it as to post a follow-up to convince us that you weren't really actually mad, to me says otherwise

I think to a lot of people 'rant' has a severely negative conotation

's no big deal really

It's probably because people who know you in real life know your disposition, and/or have been where you have waited tables, etc. Don't feel bad about ranting though, everyone needs to do it sometimes. I LOVE my job and I have plenty to rant about sometimes.

Also, pink wine and ice cubes...hahhahahahaha.

Oh, why don't you lighten up?

God, you're obviously just so bitter!

Oh, and it's the sun, not rain. It shines on the righteous and the wicked. You fundamentalists are all alike.

Okay, never mind.

"But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

You win, Bible-thumper.

I work at a coffee shop, so I identified with a lot of what you said
(particularly about people assuming you're stupid).
But I also identified with what you said in this entry, about
meeting cool people outweighing any crap you have to put up with.

So. Yes.
