I hear mixed reviews about anna karenina. Ranging from the greatest novel ever written to an amazing novel. Interesting to see how crazy 19th century russia was, eh?

hahah. i don't know. i like it so far but as you may have heard, tolstoy uses one of the characters basically as a mouthpiece for his own political and economic views, which are now of course completely obsolete. so it does drag on.
but when that is not going on, i'd agree that it is brilliant.
