*tries to convert weight measures into volume* Wooo, those look good. I've mostly been making cheddar biscuits, but these look similar enough to make too.
Eek, I'm not sure what the conversions are for that. If you do figure it out let me know and I'll update the recipe? I've never tried cheddar biscuits, but they sound like they would be fun to make.
Thanks so much for the candy by the way!!! It was delicious and wonderful - I had no idea they made sakuma drops with moomin packaging *3*
Hmmm, Google says that a pound of flour could be anything from 2.6 to 4 cups depending on the type and humidity, so I'm guessing it's a matter of mixing until getting the right consistency. Judging from the proportions of another recipe, I'm thinking it should be in the 2-ish range in this case. 1 oz is about 2 tbs for both sugar and butter, so that would make 6 and 10 tbs respectively, or around 2/3 cup of butter. 1/2 pint is a cup. Good lord, maybe I should get myself a scale OTL
Cheddar biscuits are really tasty, especially with chives. There's a nice recipe here. Buttermilk can be substituted with milk mixed with a tbs of vinegar and left to stand for a few minutes. I personally like to replace half the butter with shortening for better texture, and follow this episode of Good Eats for extra fluffiness. And now I'm getting hungry.
Glad you like the candy XD Funny you say this, because Moomin sakuma drops are perhaps the easily to find back home, along with the Grave of the Fireflies version (which is downright evil, if you ask
That sounds incredibly confusing. I've never been able to figure out measurements going from weight to volume. If it works out though, hopefully everything will go okay? D:
Ahhh thank you! I actually think I would like to try those biscuits out at some point, so I'll stick up a post of food when I can. :D
Haha I've only ever seen the grave of the fireflies version, and i put the morbid thoughts out of my mind because I actually quite like them. X'D Even though that film was really depressing.
