This wasn't the way i planned it

This might come across as a moan but i'm hoping it's not really, just need some opinions. Having spent a lot of time working away lately i've got to thinking. I get to play with some top notch technology but i'm wondering if i fucked up somewhere along the line. I really enjoy what i'm doing at work but i don't think i'm really seeing the benefit. Can I blag a sewing kit off you? They things are way cute :)

On the other thing, it's hard to say. So many jobs eat into other parts of your life. For example, you (I take it you still drive to Stratford every day) have to watch what you do in the evening in order to be functional the next day. This also costs a lot.

They're sending you to europe a fair bit and while that's exciting at first, the routine of one hotel room after another, without getting much or any time to actually enjoy the place, and no one to share it with, can get a bit boring.
What would be ideal is something closer to home, with great pay and is still as rewarding as what your're doing now. So that you could live a little.

Yeah i can't get completely smashed in the week which is maybe a good thing, going round europe is still kinda cool if i finish early enough i go out exploring. You're right with what would be ideal but that never happens in the real world, just trying to weigh up what would be a good next move, i think going out tonight and having fun is first on the list, haven't been out in a few weeks. If i'm not coming to Lue's b'day bash i'll send a sewing kit down with someone for you.

Ye of little faith. These things *do* happen in the real world :) You're doing the first step to getting it right now - in that your not completely satisfied with where this job is taking you.
The next step is looking about for what you do want. Then comes deciding whether or not to take a huge risk.

But first things first as always and the weekend is here :) y chi dda *raises glass* xxx

Money = more varied playtime options and life opportunities. Seeing the world seems like a good move.
Eating steak is great. More money = bigger steak.

Yeah that's kinda why i started being a good boy and knuckled down to some work, the plan just got lost somewhere. I was going out more when i was on the dole, admittedly i did have to blag my way in free and then minesweep but i was still going out. I might try a cheeky minesweep tonight to see if i've still got it in me.

the fact of the matter is you just seem to have hit stalemate. like you said, you've gotten lost somewhere, so you need to find your path again. are you still studying to do microsoft certification? can you do something exciting with that? maybe it's not just your job that's lacking....perhaps there's something else in your life that needs to change too.

you're gary, liver of the dream. you'll come up with something ;)

in the mean time, come to my birthday. because if you don't then it won't be as much fun!
