[Voice/Action]: Friends need to stop getting owned

Feb 07, 2010 05:13

[Well after everything that has been happening as of late, Luffy has been thinking. A lot. Well maybe not a LOT LOT cause thinking too much would give him a fever, but ya know. A moderate amount. And while he wants to get stronger to protect everyone and free everyone from this prison, he can’t seem to do that without his friends getting hurt, or ( Read more... )

thinking, addressing the masses, doesn't do this often, too late/early for witty tags, nakama are important

((Well Valvalis IS Luffy's friend but he could have easily forgotten to add her to the filter while he was in a hurry. So go for it))

Hmmm... probably keep them all in one place. But that would be rather hard.

That's what I thought, but they probably wouldn't like it.

[Vash sits with his journal open for a bit. It may seem like a simple question but it's not.] It's... it's important to remember that you can't be everywhere at once and you can't keep people from living their lives either. Sometimes. [Pause] Sometimes you have to trust in that things will turn out alright in the end.

That doesn't work!

No... not always, but you can't be everywhere at once. You can't let fear rule your life Luffy.

THEN WHAT DO I DO!?

Nami was hurt and her friend almost died yesterday! That's the second time I've found them like that! And Miyabi and that blue dog... THEY COULD'VE DIED TOO! What would you do if people kept hurting your friends and trying to kill them!?

IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA HELP THEN SHUT UP!

Foolish boy. There is nothing you can do to protect your friends from the all powerful Aku.

Well stay away from my friends! You want me to kick your ass?

Do you have a lot of friends, or nakama if you prefer, who are strong and capable of defending themselves? Or are you the one who always has to protect them from the more powerful enemies?

[Hey a person who knows what nakama means!]

I always fight the really strong guys, but most of them can fight. The bad guys here always teleport away though, so I can't kick their ass like I want to. And then they try to fight my other nakama.

So the villains here are cowards, hm?

I know what you mean, though. When I go on missions with a group of people, there are some who are much weaker than I am. The main problem is that nobody can be everywhere at once, aside from anyone who can use magic to clone themselves, but that's beside the point.

If your nakama will listen to you, maybe you could try to convince them to stay in groups when they go somewhere. That way, if they get ambushed, the person doing the ambushing would have a more difficult time fighting off multiple people at once.

They're all really annoying!

Wait, there's magic to clone yourself!? Do you know how?!

I'll try that. But I think they're gonna be really stubborn.

Pure, steady determination and an indomitable will! Sticking close by, and answering the call whenever they need help. That's just my style.

At home? Definitely. Here... well...

That's more complicated.
