[Action/Voice]: Gdit Nami...

Mar 31, 2010 04:30

[He'd been searching for a looong time now. Running, and flinging himself across nearly every part of Luceti he could manage. Sometimes going over some areas even twice or three times. But he hasn't come across Nami yet. He doesn't know where Aku's keeping her. How is that possible? He's searched like everywhere. But in a sense, Luffy had somewhat ( Read more... )

[Green faced bastard... which was Aku, right? And for Luffy to try and filter specifically to him, especially after something like this... Flynn knew what Luffy was getting at. However, that didn't change the fact that he was at a loss for words for a minute.]

... I'm sorry.

[Brook hears Luffy come in, but he doesn't go out to the living room right away. Everyone needs their space, right?]

[Yeah... no. That's not how things work. He's a musician, and that job isn't just for entertainment. At times like these, what it all boils down to is the easing of burdens when they become to heavy to bear. Brook's sure he couldn't help himself for long against something like this, even if he wanted to.]

[He finds a blanket and lays it neatly over one arm before going to the kitchen to fetch a glass of juice. As he walks to the living room, he unfolds the blanket and drops it over his captain before taking a seat on the arm of the couch]

You were out there for quite some time, Captain. [Longer than him, and he stayed out longer than he had planned. Here's a glass if you want it.] You must be thirsty.

[He feels so bad. Aku captured Nami and is doing God knows what to her, but here he is sitting on the couch too tired to even move much. He should be stronger than this. He'll reach weakly for the glass and take it, drinking a few sips]

Thanks, Brook.

[That he isn't just gulping it down is a testament to just how worn out he is. Brook nods his head politely at the thanks, then crosses one knee over the other.]

I cannot fault your reasons for doing so, but it appears that you're beginning to wear yourself out, Luffy-san.

[He knows he's wearing himself out. It's his body's fault for not being able to keep up. Since he had been training, he thought he'd be able to go longer periods without resting]

... It's my fault. I was so busy trying to get stronger that... I didn't think about protecting her myself. [Those aren't tears slowly building up shut up geez. Sure he had assigned Flynn, but when he bumped into Nami that one time and Flynn wasn't there he should've been able to figure out that he hadn't been watching out for her. That she was just lying for him. And now it was too late. He can't find her and has no clue where she is. He's starting to realize that if he wants to protect his nakama in this place, he can't just get stronger, but he has to be smarter too.]

[Mmm, Sanji was planning on talking to you eventually. He'd just... hoped not like this]

... Oi. [he can guess the answer, but still asks] Hungry?

[With Nami gone, he really doesn't want to smile or eat or anything. He's really about to lose it in this place with all this crap constantly hitting him in the face. But he does recall what Zoro told him. Who will the crew look to if he falters? He's the captain. So he lifts his head and gives a weak smile]

You cooked dinner?

[leans against the couch, hands in his pockets. Well damn, if Luffy is gonna try, he might as well, too. A bemused smile appears on his face]

No, but I'll take requests this once.
