Why Aspen Should Not Try To Be Deep In A Sleep-Deprived State

On Sunday I went to my second cousin's missionary farewell at the behest of my grandmother. I had a lot of observations during the process, most of them along the lines of, "Dear lord, I'm so glad I don't make myself sit through this crap anymore," and "Rio de Janeiro? He's going to Rio? Missionaries are wasted on Rio!" However, one of the biggest ( Read more... )

:D "Hospital waiting room," indeed. If you're going to induce religious ecstasy, dammit, don't make a partition separating the gym from the sacrament meeting. As I recall, our Denver-Mormon European History teacher carped a great deal about the Protestant-inspired lack of decor. I love Eddie Izzard's takes on history and mythology i_blaze_the March 23 2008, 22:15:36 UTC
Infront of my extremely catholic family today during the Malaysian grandprix I ended up discussing Easter with my little sister and commenting that nobody really had a clue when it all happened because the first record of any sort to mention Jesus came 2 or 3 hundred years afterwards. I got a pretty frosty reception for that matched only by the look of annoyance from my grandparents where I rather carelessly mentioned that the Catholic church only dropped the idea that the earth was the center of the universe in 1992 a few hours later.

I may be disowned if I'm not careful.

Eddie Izzard is rather right in this case, but i figure god likes that. Being an omnipresent omnipotent being i figure you need a sense of humor. As it is, not all catholic churches look good, but we sometimes have interesting priests. And when all else fails you can usualy read ahead for a few weeks. barrig that, every church has the stations of the cross, so you can recountthe bloody tale of an inocent mans torture and crufixion. A curios read overall, i wonder if there is more going through your mind.

PS: Try anewmna sometime 7 pm sundays. no fancy looking bt they sound almsot like a baptist service adnthe priests are usually pretty funny. I am ot trying to convert you, just playingoff what you said.
