It takes a while to gather everyone up who's still able to make it back to the hangar at Alert. The first sight that greets the returnees is a lot of Russians- very nearly the full crew complement of a Typhoon-class submarine, few of whom if any speak English. An impromptu infirmary's been set up nearby, mostly for frostbite, impact injury, and utter exhaustion. Dark Schneider will be waking up there, and at Peter Venkman's insistence will have, shall we say, some of the better scenery available in the area. Hey, the man saved their asses from a lot. Ray hasn't been looking too cheerful himself, despite Peter's and Winston's best efforts to the contrary. He looks up at Tyler's question. "No clue," he says. "The number of dimensional rifts and reality tears in the area make it all but impossible to trace down exactly what happened to her. I couldn't even use a PKE meter up here without it shutting down and refusing to work, let alone the really sensitive stuff. We may have to go back to Milliways and find someone to do a divination or a scry for us... I'm sorry, Tyler."

"Okay, so it's probably something that happened here," Ray says. "In that case, when we get out of the area, I want to run a full scan series on you and see if we can't figure out what's clinging to you energetically. We might have an issue with some of the local arcane energies, or it might be something to do with what the Squirrel gave you- and if it's something of hers I might be able to use it to start searching for her universe and see if she's actually in it."

"Terrific. She told me about that once. If I can get a good clear scan of its PKE signature, that'll be a fantastic place to start," Ray says. "Can I see it, in the meantime?"

"Sure," It takes a moment of fiddling to undo the latch with gloves, but he pushes it over to Ray once it's off.

...He's probably going to get a talking to for this later, though he doesn't know it.

Ray examines the device thoughtfully, then detaches his PKE meter from his belt and starts scanning. He has to have the damper pushed all the way over to the right to filter out the sheer residual juju in the area, though, so the scan takes a while. Eventually he pushes the device back. "I'll do the analysis when we get home," Ray says. "Thank you, Tyler."
