All things are lost and again found because of the connected nature of the universe. Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else.

[beat]

Hmm...perhapsh dat's not helpful. Think of it dis way; If you can think of it, you can do it.

[Ffffft Simba will never understand these cryptic old guys.]

But what if I don't want to think about it?

You are already thinking about it.

Hm. Yeah. I guess I am. That doesn't make it any easier.

Don't go anywhere. Lost is lost regardless of temper-spatial coordinates. It's when no one cares enough to remember you exist. [Bitter? Mmmmmmaybe.]

You make the best of where you are.

And try not to let yourself remember.

[Sounds a little counter-productive, considering the other advice he's been getting.]

It's hard to forget sometimes.

Do you mean...at a loss for what to do?

I know what I have to do. I just don't know how.

Well...

Then that was a really odd way of putting it.

But in that case, you could always find someone who's done what you need to do, or something similar to it, and learn from them.

Or just do it and learn from your inevitable failure.

I didn't think it was that hard to understand.

I guess I could. I don't want to learn from failure. I've done enough of that already.

It depends on how I was lost. If I was left somewhere, I'd wait there for whoever left me to come back. If I wandered off myself, I'd try to retrace my steps ...

But I think you're talking about the boat, aren't you?

Something back home. I thought maybe I could figure out what to do if I asked.

Well, if you mean trying to get back home ... I don't think that's going to happen. Not any time soon ... passengers have been here for well over a year now and we still haven't reached the Shore.

[She felt bad for being so blunt.]

I'm sorry ...

No, no. I know I can't go home right now. Just. I have to go back. And when I do, it means facing something I've done. I just wanted to know how to be ready for it.

That depends - were you trying to escape something (or someone)?

Yeah. Just wanted to run away from everything and I did. It was great. And now I'm not so sure anymore. I don't think Hakuna Matata covers this.
