I have only written for like fifteen minutes put together, but I can already say it will be easier learning than qwerty-touch was. Still slow going, though.
I had QWERTY hard-wired into my brain in a boot-camp-like typing class. These days I actually think how a word is spelled by typing in the air. LOL
But the Dvorak looks amazingly sensible. Too bad we didn't learn that.
Repetitive exercises... that's the key to fluency, in typing. You could take some common words each day and do them over & over. Maybe find a program to test your speed.
Me too, I had a typing class at high school and have been the typing speed monster ever since, so this is a pretty enormous step for me. I am learning this sooo fast, though. And it doesn't make me forget the qwerty as I had feared either.
