Where and when did you start RPing?
Old custom chat based games and IM stuff on AOL back in the Rhydian days. Jesus that was ages ago. I was such a stupid kid then, too. Ah well.
Do you RP anywhere other than LJ?
Other than occasional stuff over AIM, nope.
Do you play in any public games?
The majority of my games are public. Only fagbox and gearprojectbox are considered non-public.
Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
There's a time and a place for both. I can do both, though I think my prose lacks the same strength my dialog has. Someone once told me that my writing is very to the point, but not in a bad way, so idk. Either way, it's really a matter of mood. And I just get first person spam done faster.
What was the first character you ever played?
stunedge, Clairbourn's old Ky Kiske. I played him awfully.
Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
It's a sort of tie, really. baka_jyanai is a ton of fun to play in just about any situation and she comes very naturally to me (is that a good thing?) plus I find it really easy for her to just tag anything. tenkai_sou, hop_toit_udonge, and 1week_wizard also provide a lot of fun, though pretending to be as intelligent as Eirin and Patchy are gets to be taxing after awhile. And then there's shiros_ashes, whom I have the strongest connection to and feel I'm able to convey her personality most fluidly. The problem with this is that... Parsee is NOT the sort of character you want to be able to relate to >.>.
What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
imperial_ray. Between two games, a dressing room, and several muse boxes, she's been my longest running muse. devilinplaid would have been it, but she was recently dropped. For good or not is yet to be seen, but that defeats the purpose of "consistent".
What's your biggest RP pet peeve?
I... don't really have a BIG one. Several small annoying things, but most of them just roll right off my shoulders after the initial grumbling. I DO get annoyed at people who hold internet grudges and shit. Seriously, I just don't get it. It happened on the internet, get over it.
Do you read RP secrets and the RP anon meme?
I read RP!S daily. I've submitted several positive secrets in the past. I don't see the point in disparaging RP!S as, while wank happens, it isn't the focus of it. And some days go by where nothing bad happens at all. These are good days. The anon meme, however (not anontalk, as that's a different thing), is formed exclusively for the purpose of stirring shit. They call it "letting it all out", but that's really just an excuse. It's disgusting, but there's little I can do to personally stop it. Anontalk is a sort of breath of fresh air, as it tends to be a significantly more friendly version of /b/.
If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
Eh, I don't have a preference. It IS easier to track a community, but I don't see what the big stink about journal games is. They seem perfectly alright to me.
Would you rather play with someone who's very very IC but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always IC (but not terrible) and a great writer?
I'd do both, honestly, but I'd probably prefer the second. Because even if someone's perfectly IC, they can get extremely fucking boring. And given this hobby's about having fun? Yeah. But that being said, you should never have to choose one or the other. Being IC AND being a good writer counts.
Do you have a "RP partner"?
I have several. I could go on listing names, but most of them know who they are. A lot of them are people I met at clairbourn and have since just spread about with. Others I met in my other more recent games, but the ones I've stuck with the longest are all clairbourn originals.
Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? Who?
Eh, that takes effort.
In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
SAMPLES. OH GOD SAMPLES. It drives me mad. It's not that I can't write them. It's thinking of something non-cliche to WRITE about that's the problem. I hunger for prompts.
Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
I've done it for Patchy just because the code was there and easy to use. Another friend of mine made a Cirno one that I use. The rest? Man fuck it. PICTURE/SONG/MAYBE A BIO. Done.
What was your first game?
clairbourn I became a mod of that game in December 07. I became Head Mod in the summer of 08. I have remained with the game ever since. It's my baby.
Are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
Erm... none? I never got the point behind this. I tag what interests me regardless of what I might think of the originating canon. Hell, I'd tag Twilight or Rob Leifeld characters if they're interesting. People need to get over fandom snobbery in RP the same way they do in cosplay, sheesh.
Most memorable scene in any thread?
GOD HOW DO I PICK ONE? I have too many. Though, honestly? VIRGINIA VS THE BEAR still stands out in my mind as fucking hilarious. The follow up post of her attempting to speak Japanese was also just ten kinds of hilarious. But both of those were thanks largely in part to the people responding (Kimba, KB, other old Sieben peeps). More recently I think that Cirno's "KISSING IS GROSS" post scores as A quality hilarity and awesome.
Do you RP sex?
Regularly. And with gusto. I have no qualms with it. I don't think I write it particularly WELL, but I know I do better than most. I threw characters in the_love_hotel specifically for the purpose of getting it out of my system when I needed to. And, really, I've had quite a few memorable threads there. Outside of that some of the best smut I've written is with the person I actually do have sex with on a regular basis. (LOVE YA ALEX)
Do you play more males or females?
It's kind of split down the line, though I've obviously leaned more towards females lately purely by RPing more from Touhou Project. It's just coincidental.
What won't you RP?
There are VERY FEW things that squick me. I can RP het, yaoi, yuri, *insert fetish here*. But I draw the line on things like watersports/scat/etc. and loli/shotacon. The first one is because it's fucking gross. The second one is that it's mentally disturbing on a lot of levels, even if the character is Really Five Hundred Years Old or whatever that damned trope is called. I do know that one of my favorite ships straddles this line a bit, but... eh. Hitsugaya's physical age depends entirely on who's drawing him AND/OR how badass Kubo wants him to look.

I run versus_dressing along with Nana. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Ever RPed a pairing?
Several times. The first was Ky/Jam, though, with kitsoru. The most recent pairing that I've really gotten into is Yuupar (Yuugi Hoshiguma and Parsee Mizuhashi), but playing it out has been a chore. The Yuugi in the touhou DR is inactive as all hell, it feels awkward with Mary's Yuugi (no fault of her own), dickables has kind of taken an indefinite hiatus as far as I can tell, and the one in TLH is sloooooooow as molasses (but writes oh so damn well). IDK, it's been a challenge.
Favorite place to play: musebox, open posts, public games, private games?
I've started really enjoying musebox RP, but not that much more than my public games. I just like the lack of pressure.
Talking RP with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
9 times out of 10, it's a gas. But that 1/10th is a BITCH AND A HALF.
