Not too bad, really. I'm putting all 23 of these onto my iPod so I've got more of a variety of things to listen to when I go back to work next week.

Since some of the songs linked to here did it at a few points, I have to point out that I'm usually not really into songs that sound as if the lyrics are simply being screamed, due in part to having to sit through Deftones at a Godsmack concert my family went to some years ago while I was still in school. This isn't nearly as excessive as that, though, and was actually done at points that made sense.

BSF, to me, stands out amongst other post-hardcore acts because they capture the spirit of what made the genre so amazing in the late 80's in the first place. I tend to recommend them this band to people who dig acts like Fugazi because they're an excellent bridge between original post-hardcore bands of the 80's/90's and the borderline screamo acts that came about in the early 2000s.

BSF caught fire when the whole post-hardcore movement revived in the early 2000's. A lot of good acts came out of it, but some of them were as forgettable as the bands that tried for it in the 90's (which was when BSF actually formed, ha ha).

Can I just have the torrent link? And totally agree on Handful of Redemption being the best thing ever.

Gotcha

Most critics claim it is one of their best songs as well. That and "Dying on Principle", which I would have gladly uploaded if it weren't for the track containing glitches. Also, I fucking love "Still Waiting For the Punchline", but didn't upload it thanks to it actually being blended into the song "A Far Cry", linked above (though the lyrics are slightly different).

This is gonna make me organize my "music to be sorted" folder soon so I can get it onto my playlist.

You'll want to find another download of "Dying on Principle" though. The mp3 in this pack really does have a weird error on it, which causes strange beeping noises at random intervals.

I'm also not a huge fan of the "here let us scream directly into your eardrums" type of music, so a few of the songs are a bit much for me, but on the whole I'm really liking what I'm hearing. They don't really go overboard with it like some others I've heard. Ahh, I really needed some more of this kind of music on my playlist~ I think Requiem, Handful of Redemption, The Misery Index, and On In Five are a couple of my favorites.

Handful of Redemption seems to be a universal favorite. It's definitely the song that proved they could do melodic hardcore and do it well.
