Read Greenspan's prepared testimony.I missed the last couple of Congresscritters but I saw almost the whole thing. The Republicans were predictable, just looking for support for Bush. I've tried to make it a habit to read everything Greenspan writes or says. He seems to be the only person with an actual grasp on reality.

A good book looking at the economy and the soon to retire baby boomers is "Prophecy" by Robert Kiyosaki. It deals more with IRAs and 401(k)s but it is an equally disturbing look at the next 10-20 years. I have a copy if you'd like to borrow it.
