Today at the office, while covering the Chai Vang trial, one of the editors noticed that the AP story said the white hunter may have used the terms "tree rat" and "mud duck" to refer to Vang. Since Vang's defense is basically that he felt threatened by the white hunters, whether these were actually racial epithets was a matter of great interest to
