Since I haven't had my own Internet connection for the last week, I've been generally doing my Internet activities in the Academic Computing PC Lab in the basement of the Parsons Engineering Building here at Mudd. As such, I've been doing more dedicated web-browsing than my usual multitasking, and the results are somewhat saddening ( Read more... )

Goobs, in regards to the NPO in CN, it's not the same organization as it was in NS.

I was on 3 of the War Councils, Moo has been on all 4. Pump has been on 3. We have players from all over NS, and a lot of new players from CN. It's an entirely different org.

Indeed. I'm GATO, but NPO on CN are definitely the "good" guys - respectful, and powerful, yes, but that's the point of the game, building a power base.

NPO is NPO. The name is "New Pacific Order", and that means something to me. It stands for the takeover of the Pacific region at the end of August 2003, and the subsequent forced removal of both active and not-so-active nations in that region. I don't care what face the NPO wears elsewhere, it is still a group founded in tyranny and harassment. Even if the name is only retained out of pride, that is pride in ideals that I do not share and cannot support.

I kind of miss Francos Spain. At least he was fairly upfront about the nature of his regime.

The NPO has been defeated and battle and lost most of its power. Its no longer a dominant power, however it still exists. A coalition was created to check its nonstop aggression and was victorious.

Sorry to see you go, you were a great player and one of the best contributors to the game.

Things come and go. Still, what matters are the good memories that you can take away from it.

It is well and proper that you bid farewell to Nation States and aquaintances youve made and lost there. Youve bigger things afoot at Mudd. I charge you with bringing glory back to Mudd and retaking the Cal Tech cannon. The morons at Cal Tech resorted to brute strength and ignorance to wrest it back from MIT. They are dullards. You can do better. This is your one shot at greatness. Gont blow it.
