Aww *hugs* I know, I was shaking when I read it, and sadly it does seem that way right now. BUT, I have a strong feeling he isn't dead and that he'll come back eventually. Actually I think next to go down will be Kenny, then some others... I think it's all to make Ichigo go mad from pain, so that he kicks ass, then gets almost killed himself and something huge happens then eventually those we thought dead come back. It's what I think might happen, anyways. Also, if you haven't read the chapter yet, the one who said that Byakuya was dead, said 'it seems' and it was coming from the enemy. In the end I'm going to choose to wait and keep reading on until I see a funeral or something, in my mind he's still got a chance otherwise.

When I read/saw Yamajii's vice captain's funeral, I just believed that the guy is gone, and it was like, ...ouch, sh00t? ); Can't see if the same happen to Byakuya (again... GRAOOOWWWRRRRRR~~~ DX).
Btw, if Kenny go down after Byakuya... omg, Yachiru will lose her 'parents'? DDDDD; >_But..the more captains down, the more chance they will be back later ;)) Like.. how about killing off Hitsugaya, the #1 favorite character, Kubo-sensei
