Actually, Gail and I discussed it: if we get the house, we probably won't have the money to go to Philly.
So, we either get the house, or go to Philly ... and, personally? I'd rather have the house ... not because I have no desire to see my friends, but because having a house out here would solve a lot of issues of space for us, and might lead to a mini-meet or a complete-meet out here.
Y'know? All of our closest KOL friends at a cookout in our backyard? Wouldn't that rule, too?
Maybe I should make a post about this, since it's raised so many questions, but I'd prefer not to.
A place in OKC, actually. We're both looking into continuing education, so if we were to move back to Illinois, we'd pay DOUBLE out-of-state tuition.
Couple that with the fact that we'd both take a pay cut to move back and end up paying higher cost-of-living expenses, we're better off staying here until we're in the black money-wise and in the clear school-wise.
But, with a house, we can host people at our place more easily. And with similar schedules, we'll have the ability to travel back home or wherever with far less scheduling issues.
