So, I stop in at a local greasy-spoon ... something I'm trying to do sort-of in the style of baronmind's old Do Something Different DayTM, except I only do it on Loud Shirt Friday. I don't do it every Friday, or I'd probably have to install cholesterol monitors in my heart ( Read more... )

You know, I worry about having that kind of problem when it's just baby and I, but I make sure someone knows that I'm just running my daughter to the bathroom. It can take almost 15 minutes some days, depending on how cooperative she wants to be.
That's really cool that they remade your food. I'm guessing they thought you ran out without paying them. That had to make them feel worse than having to remake your food.

Yeah. Hence, one of the two reasons I gave them such a large tip. I mean, I tipped practically another full meal, since that's what the total would have come up to for two of them.

I actually knew that about spiders... it's one of the reasons they are so widely associated with Halloween - they tend to prevalent during that time of the year AND creepy. My mom always leaves her spider webs up until after Halloween, she says they add to the ambiance.

Onions cooked with beef is the only way I like onions, but man, do I love them like that. <3 Nice of them to make everything again, did you actually finish all that food?

I like the idea of "Do something different." I should do something like that once a week.

I have a friend who's so afraid of spiders, he can't even be in the same room as one of those little plastic cheapie spider rings that you get in Halloween fun baskets.

And, I'm learning that's the only way I like onions as well. And, yes ... I FINISHED IT ALL.

And, as I said, thank baronmind for Do Something Different Day. It's a great day.
