So, this is a commercial from an evil power company in NZ, but they use the oh-so-cute pukeko in it! I haven't seen many of these guys, but they are all over the country apparently. I would love to see big, bright blue chicken-like things bopping around my backyard. There is also a more recent ad on tv in which a pukeko walks into a human house ( Read more... )

I'm going to a gay thing in Wellington tomorrow. I know, who would have thought that there were gay things in New Zealand?! Surely not I. It's called Out in the Square, I guess we don't have to hide in the back alleys there like we do in Palmy. Yay! Life is not as good without Dennis here.

Jordan and I are road tripping to Portland today to see my good friend Virginia, yay! It's about ten hours of driving to get up there, which I'm a little nervous about, because I haven't gone on a car ride that long since a similarly long trip from PA to SC. I have been in SF since Sunday afternoon, and I will be on the west coast for the next two weeks! Today was rather exciting Jordan and I drove to pier 39 first to see the very cute puppy-like sea lions (she knows just where to take me).
