Kurt Cobain was born on February 20, 1967. At age 2, he was living in Hoquiam, Washington, and had an imaginary friend, Boddah. Parents Wendy and Don Cobain were so concerned about their son's propensity for fantasy that, when an uncle was drafted to Vietnam, they told young Kurt that Boddah had been called up too.
