I'd like to add a movie to this called "The Point." (1971) I remember this film only vaguely, but I remember it being very strange and something about the animation was disturbing. But it was distinctly 70's had good music (even if the music was a bit conspicuous) and it was narrated by Ringo Starr. Despite the aspects of the animation that disturbed me, over all, I liked the movie and wonder if you've seen it. The most recognizable aspect of it is the song "me and my arrow" about the main character boy and his dog. You may have heard it elsewhere (I think it was on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me recently).
I remember the point very fondly, and I believe there was a copy in the children's section of St. Albans Free Library, so it is very understandable that we have it in common. I believe the Point had something to do with non-conformity and being true to yourself. I believe all the other folks were good normal round-headed children. In the same vein of thought, was "The Phantom Tollbooth" on the list? Perhaps part of the trouble is that some of these aren't quite Feature Length. But then again, every list is defined by its omissions.
