Thanks for doing this!!! I am not a newbie but really enjoy learning about how others do things and think about what they are doing. This tutorial is very helpful in that regard.

Great tutorial. I don't think a lot of people realize you can achieve negative space by using/smudging what is already there. I use this technique quite often and I hope other people will as well. :)
