As I completed my 2012-2013 professional development report, and closed the binder, it was like finally putting last year to rest. I am tenured and promoted, a little more sure of myself, and quite focused on what I want to achieve. I also finally feel like I can relax, even though work continues to pile up.

I got a lot done today at work. For the first time, I won't be rushing to the last minute to do my professional development report. I should have it all finished and turned in a week before the deadline. It is a lot easier after doing the tenure/promotion binder(s). Sheesh! So I am feeling less overwhelmed now ( Read more... )

I watched the last episode of the first season of Hit & Miss and cried. I will never understand what would make a person want to destroy someone else...I really don't. There was so much trauma suffered in this first season I have no idea how the actors will survive a second one ( Read more... )

The weather cooled off some, and I am thinking more clearly. My goal between now and Monday is to finish writing an encyclopedia entry on LGBT parenting, due July 21st. This young Swedish lady named Aaliyah Westin (yeah, I know--how did she get that name?) has a a YouTube channel called GoSwedish! that is a lot of fun, and very useful for learning Swedish words and phrases.
