More on free will and brain damage

Here is an article, which from my point of view examines how 'free will' / 'the will to power' has nothing to do with a cognitive process or the 'I think therefore I am' model. The systems of constraint that guide human behavior are more subtle than the cudgel called 'will power'. Be good to your brains!

The lead connection is an interesting correlation. What would have been useful, (I suppose I'd have to check the original study source to find out if they did this) would be to compare this along with other stresses that living in impoverished conditions often impose, both emotional and environmental. What would be even more telling is to find those with high lead levels, perhaps due to other types of exposures, without the other socioeconomic pressures, to see if they to displayed these same vulnerabilities. What this does seem to underscore is the synergy of multiple stresses influencing behavior.
