I didn't really know what a "Mary Kay" party was. I went because my aunt wrote "This means a lot to me" on the invitation. I knew make-up was involved but, if it was anything like a Tupperware party, I could mostly sit in a corner and think about vampires for two hours ( Read more... )

*pat pats you* I gotta say, your responses to TSL are CLASSIC man. I love it. I assume she used the pollution argument to go an argue that makeup acts as a seal for your skin to protect it against weather and pollution? *seems to remember a similar line from a MK party she attended* I try to avoid those things like the plague. I just have too hard a time saying no to people, even when I know it is something I don't want.

Also, I cannot believe that know one in your diverse group recognized the Two-face reference. Wasn't Dark Knight nominated for an Oscar or something?
