DAY ONE

Bed head. I washed up and went to the computer.

It was only 6.58AM in the morning!! I was suppose to wake up
only at 8AM but I guess I was all too nervous!

So I went onto Youtube to check on some stuff

And then I realised I wasn't the only who's feeling the jitters.
Here comes Juvenal!! And then we talked abit.

All ready to set off for breakfast!

The view in the morning :)

So band members almost own the whole place!
Most of them turned up for breakfast and it was really fun.
And so I had happy meal!

The happy meal toy + Juvenal's note to me. :)

The banana! The energy booster!! Try to look at those words if you can!
It was really sweet of Siang Yew to have thought of that :)
I think I ate 'Just do it!'.

So we all went back to school and here is the band storeroom.
In a total mess but anyhow, I STILL LOVE IT! :D

Bored.

The conductors came and talk to us.

This is the school quadrangle where we will all have to gather early in the morning for assembly.

Hmm. I certainly believe so. :)

Just finished our pledge-taking and all of us went back to the Lecture Theatre.
Flooded with the band people.

Percussionists had warm-ups. Percussion tutor (Ms Ng) talked to us and
kept us calm :)

Warm up and rehearsed. And then Mr Tan told all of us that 10 minutes
to judge a band is ridiculous. And I have to say I totally agree with that :)
Whatever it is, they told us to just really enjoy ourselves on stage! :D

All ready for uniform check.

Settling down. Getting briefed.
'ONE BAND, ONE SOUND.'

Still on the bus, head count.

Leaving the school.

On the highway.

Took a few photos while on the way there. And this is where I am going
to get married!! Haha. It's a gorgeous place.

The huge ferris wheel.

Part esplanade.

It looks sort of fake but I took it for real!

Really tall buildings.

Getting tuned up. *Nervous*

Head back to school. That's Juvenal, in black.

Watched some soccer match.

Took some photos and a few of us cabbed to SCH to get the results.

This is where we competed!

After we received the results, loads of the other school competitors were outside as well.

Headed back home. Took the train.

Time check: 8.30PM. Went to bathe and had dinner.

DRATS! I still had to study social studies test! I really wasn't in the mood to do so
especially the medal that we've gotten was really upsetting.

So I received a text from SY. But I name him SYF in my phonebook.
Some broken English there. I text back.

Time check again. 8:55PM. Then I talked to Nizam on the phone.
And told him quite alot of stuff. I was really in a cranky mood.
I had a mixture of happiness + sadness.

So we talked for like about an hour. Then I was really tired.

So I went to sleep!

DAY TWO

Thats my hua-jie!! My daily side-by-side partner in the morning :)

The class during recess.

I really love the board. It means quite alot to me :)
With all of our hand prints!

So all the band people were studying for the test and I really couldn't be bothered.

So I took photos with Haiqel and finally a decent one!

Then after school we had band again. Speech day rehearsal.

All of you, I love :)

Then Mr Ng talked to all of us. Quite upsetting knowing that I'll be leaving the band soon.
:'(

After the first round of rehearsal, SY was bushed.

More band members.

SY was super tired.

More photos.

Lights will guide you home.

Team work. :)

DAY THREE

Lunch with girlfriends. Had a great time. :)

So Singapore Youth Festival is finally over and I can finally breathe. It's been a great experience to be able to perform. It's my first and last SYF in NVSB. Great experience, great fun. I've always loved the moments that all of us had together as a band. Where we'd shout 'ONE BAND, ONE SOUND' together and own the whole world. I love I love. Right after we performed, I couldn't stand it anymore. While holding on to the cymbals, I burst out crying. I'm too ashamed to say what I've done but I really couldn't take it. Lisa's hug was really warm. Then she reminded me of another thing which made me cried even worse! Many others were crying. And we weren't even taking the results yet.

Then we all watched Bowen play and we got back to school. Then on the way back I played a couple of songs, Nickelback's Far away, Majestic, MAJESTIA, She's like the swallow and 7th Night of July. Kept crying and crying and crying. Then after that I was all fine. Juvenal told of us to appear fine but I couldn't help but look sulky. Yeo Mei talked to me and then asked what's wrong then I asked her to shut up haha, in a joking manner. She knew something was wrong with me. Then I went with some of the others to take the results. I was fine by then already. When we knew we've gotten a bronze, I was all okay and fine. Quite alot of the others kept crying. But I guess there's no more tears for me to cry already. So I went home and then waited for 45 minutes for 81 and then like I was sort of emotional throughout the bus ride. It was sort of long. I don't really know what happened to me but I just knew that bronze is definitely something that I wasn't looking forward to. But whatever it is, we had fun rocking the stage.

Then the next day, GREAT. Loo yee came to talk to me. Then I saw the banner for SYF 2005, and then seeing band's going to drop to bronze I was suuuuuuuuper emotional then I was already like on the way to crying but I held back a little. And so, as expected, the vice principal went up to tell the whole school that we've gotten a bronze and when he said 'YESTERDAY...' I was already covering my ears. I was like 'man shut up.' I can't take it this time. It kept flowing. Alot of the others as well. Damn. I must have had looked pathetic. Whatever the case is, now I'm ok already and I'm really proud of MY band! I'm proud to say that I've always be in NVSB and will always be with it. I'm super proud of the sec4 bandmates. Like, you guys were able to just really think of the brighter side. Even though there's no silver medal, still, we were able to bond as a band, it's really a great achievement already since we've never been united as one before. So I guess it's just great lah!

LOVING ALL YOU PEOPLE!!
