my sister fell in a tide pool today
& my camera went with her.
So, it's dead. :(

Any suggestions on good cameras? digital.
I like canon. Preferrably 300 - 600 dollars.

I'm already mourning the loss :~(

What were you shooting with before? It was quite good. Knowing your pics, I suspect aperture control, shutter priority, and manual modes are important and that you probably want digital?

Canon has some good stuff like the A series. I'd love a G5/G6 myself but it's pricey. A95 would be my next choice.

the canon ixus series (elph) or the new canon s2. 12x optical zoom and five MP with the s2.

and 3x optical zoom and it can range with the ixus series. i'm getting an ixus 700 or ixus 50, when i buy a new camera. check out http://dpreview.com ... they have reviews on what sort of camera to buy... also, http://www.steves-digicams.com
