When Love Falls

It's raining outside today, just like it was that day as well. I hear the thunder in the distance, and I begin to count until I'm sure the storm is a mile away from me. This has oddly become a routine for me now, siting here at this window at some time everyday. I wait and hope that you'll come back to me and say it was all a mistake, you and everyone else were just joking, but it's useless. You're not coming back to me, you haven't for a year now. I can hope, wish, and dream all I want, but I know that reality won't be far behind it all.

I look across the room I'm in to see our Piano that we had gotten together when we moved into this apartment. I slowly got up and walked to it as I began to remember our time together. We'd known each other for so long, and yet not long enough. As I sat at the Piano I remember playing songs for you when we were maybe 5 or 6 years old. You use to love listening to me play, even if I wasn't that good at it.

“Noona! Play something! It's my birthday today so please play!” A young boy exclaimed as

he pulled a young girl with him towards a piano.

“But I don't want to Minho-ah! I want some cake!” The girl yelled stubbornly.

“Please Noona? We'll eat lots and lots of cake later! I promise!” Minho pouted at his Noona.

“Fine! But pinky swear! I really want some cake!” The girl sighed as she held up her small pinky.

“I'll buy you cake everyday when we're older! I promise!” Minho exclaimed excitedly.

“Stupid Keroro...You broke your promise to me.” I muttered as I began to play a familiar tune. The pianist was one of your favorites to listen to, and you always begged me to play some of his work for you. I never understood why you didn't learn to play piano when you loved it so much until we were in middle school together.

“Noona, can you play this song for me? It's a really good song, I bet you'll like it!” Minho

smiled happily as he sat next to his Noona.

“I guess, but if you love the piano so much, why not learn to play yourself?” Noona asked as

she looked over the music sheets Minho handed her.

“Why learn when I always have you here with me to play? We'll always be together this way, right?”

Minho asked with a soft voice.

“I-If that's the case then I'll always play for you then!” Noona exclaimed embarrassed by her words.

“We'll always be together through the piano! So always continue to play Noona!” Minho shouted.

“It's a promise! We'll always be together and I'll always play for you Minho!”

The piano connected us in a lot of ways, didn't it Minho? You loved to hear me play and I loved playing for you. I loved you and you said you loved me too. You said that you always did love me and that's why you always listened to me play. You said when I played that you'd just stare at me and admire me. I never believed you though. I thought you were just trying to sound romantic or something, but now I think I can believe what you said as I can remember you always watching me when I played with a look of adoration.

“Why are you staring at me like that? Do I have something on my face?” Noona

asked, flustered by the stare.

“No...I'm just thinking...Noona? What would you say if someone close to you

is in love with you?” Minho said softly.

“It would depend on the person I guess...Why?” Noona asked confused.

“Because..I love you Noona.” Minho whispered, unsure

of the response he'd get in return.

“A...Are you serious Minho?” Noona asked unsure of what to do.

“I'm dead serious here Noona. I love you. I have for a while now.” Minho said in a louder,

more serious voice.

“T-Then good, because I-I l-love you t-too...” Noona said shyly.

“I'm glad to hear that...”Minho said as he moved closer to Noona and slowly leaned in for a kiss.

“Minho....I'll be playing for you again soon, I promise.” Noona whispered softly as the song came to an end. Once it ended, Noona fell over, only to wake in the arms of her beloved Minho. She smiled softly at him as she lay in his arms.

“I missed you, Minho...I love you...” She said softly.

“I missed and love you too, Noona.” Minho calmly replied with a smile.

“Play for me? Only me?” Minho asked timidly.

“Only you.” Noona said firmly with a smile.

“It is reported that a young woman had committed suicide in the home she use

to share with her deceased Husband late last night. She was found by

a good friend of the couple around noon today. The woman was found

by the piano in the home with a smile on her face the responding officers stated.”

suicide, you, minho, shinee, angst
