When they arrive, Ali reaches instinctively for the doorknob, then rethinks and raises her hand to knock. "So, ready to check for ducks?"

"Yup." Sel sticks a duck call in her mouth, brandishes the bag of bread she's brought along, and digs a seam-ripper out of her pocket. Clenching her teeth on the duck-call, she speaks around it, "quack, quack."
