The Siren's Call, Fandom Docks, Early Monday Afternoon

Sep 08, 2015 01:09

Random encounter with a girl in need of serious help aside, Isabela had had a remarkably pleasant weekend, and was taking advantage of her lack of classes today to head down to the Siren's Call.

She'd managed to find a book on ship construction and was wandering the Call comparing the diagrams to various sections of the ship. She mightn't be able ( Read more... )

Most people might have wandered by here on the way to or from the beach for the cookout. Merrill just ended up here by accident, and really would have just wandered on past if she hadn't spotted Isabela.

"So this is your ship!" she exclaimed -- almost squeed, really -- from the dock.

Isabela'd had much the same squeeful reaction when Luis had launched her, hence why she'd taken it after his fortunate run in with Zevran's blade.

"Indeed it is, kitten," she said, subtly putting the book down somewhere safe. "Would you like to come aboard?"

That way she could be properly sad when she found out that the Qunari storm eventually sank it.

It would also be a nicer first encounter with ships than heading to Kirkwall to escape the Blight.

"Could I? I've never been on board a ship before!"

From the way Merrill was already bouncing on her toes with excitement at the edge of the dock, that was fairly obvious.

Especially since it'd be very hard for her to get seasick when the Call wasn't going anywhere fast.

"Of course you can," she said gesturing extravagantly to the gangplank. "Just head on up."

Isabela thought about it a moment longer, then quickly headed for the gangplank without making look like she was hurrying or afraid Merrill would fall in.

Barbossa loitered near the ship in a "I'm totally not trying to steal your ship" way.

He was totally going to try to steal the ship.

Bird's gotta fly, squirrels gotta drink, pirate's gotta pirate.

The ship already had a pirate.

Isabela was up by the bowspirit, trying to figure out which line was attached where, she looked around, eyes narrowed. Something wasn't right.

Barbossa looked as innocent as a child.

He hadn't been that innocent a child.

"Ahoy, wench! Where be yer captain?"

The most sheltered Chantry sister wouldn't have been fooled.

Isabela was not that Chantry sister.

Isabela would be trying to seduce that Chantry sister.

"She would be right here."
