The Shins are playing two shows here in June! I got a ticket to the one on the 19th at the House of Blues. Has anyone else made plans to be there? Would anyone else like to make plans to be there? Would anyone like to make plans to be there with me? (Would it help if I offered bribes of homemade fresh-baked edible things?)

Aw thanks! The Shins are a superwonderfull indie rock band, and they have two superwonderfull records out: O Inverted World and Chutes Too Narrow. Both are worth owning, but I think O Inverted World is my favourite by just a very wee bit--also, it is an extremely irrestibly cute shade of pale blue. 'Nuff said!

The Shins are my second-most favourite band after Belle and Sebastian. I will definitely be at that concert unless it sells out before my friend can buy tickets for it on Friday.

The Shins are likewise my second-most favourite band after Belle and Sebastian, too! I meant to get a ticket for the show on the 18th but it sold out before I was able to get on the clue-bus, so I was glad to hear that they added a second concert. *Whew!* Were you able to get a ticket? I hope so. Because then perhaps we could see each other there, and exchange friendly waves or small HALLOs and suchness. Also, unless I can manage to convince my sister that buying a ticket to a concert featuring a band she has never really heard of is essential to her life, I will be going to the Shins on my lonesome. And I've never done that before...!

I did get tickets! Well, I haven't gotten them yet, but I will in a couple of weeks when my friend is here. I think it would be splendid if we saw each other; I'll be the boy who looks like every other boy at the show.

Ah...I don't know if I have a spesh-ee-al-ity per se, but lately I've been on a homemade bread kick. Other than that, I have an incurable fondness for cookies of all kinds, and I'm pretty sure that the raspberries in my freezer would be much happier in pie-form. It is terribly unfortunate that I haven't got a rolling pin. GRRR!
