Happy National Library week to you, my fellow library worker! Funny I posted the same thing, although that Library avenger link was the best! Are your libraries doing anything fun for the week? Um so I think I read you are going to get your teaching certificate......how neat. I think you would make an excellent teacher. We shall have to chat soon!

Well, my future is still a bit up in the air. The teaching certificate is one possibility that I've been investigating--thankyou for thinking I'd be "excellent" in the classroom. But it looks as though I'd have to take a few math classes in order to get certified, and that's rather GRRR so I'm still thinking that library school is my best bet at financial independence and personal happiness.

Palatine didn't do SQUAT for library week--but RU gave out free cookies and brownies. It's been very strange, watching people eat in the library--but the college is much more relaxed about those sorts of things (and everything, really) than the public library is. Did Oakton do anything interesting and/or exciting by way of celebration?

...did you happen to explore the rest of the library avengers sight? They have a lot of neat stuff for sale. In other words: please come over extremely soon and hide my credit card so that I am not tempted to spend money that I don't actually have...

i havent been to a library in years. if it didnt take me weeks to finish a book i would go, but as it stands, i can just buy a cool book once a month or so and by the time i'm done with it its time to buy another one. sorry i havent called yet, i'm trying to figure out what to do with my schedule, i have work on fridays and saturdays right in the middle of the day, so if youre cool with evening hanging out that would be awesome. i shall call soon.
